Engine 2-16 is capable of pumping 1500 gallons of water per minute and carries 1000 gallons of water. This new emergency vehicle is also equipped with extrication (rescue) equipment which can be used to free entrapped victims at motor vehicle accidents. Kaska Volunteer Fire Company
Kaska has added a brush/attack truck. This multi-purpose fire/rescue vehicle will expand our capabilities for response to rural off-road areas as well as the tight allies in the small communities we protect. Brush/Attack 2-40 features a 400 gallon per minute pump and carries 200 gallons of water. Integrated into the design of the "skid" pump is an area used to mount a stokes basket for transporting patients involved in off-road emergencies such as ATV and hunting accidents. The purchase of this emergency vehicle was made possible using funding acquired through a PA State Grant.
